Volunteers provide many important functions throughout the Medical Center and help make our patients' stay more enjoyable. Volunteers can perform a number of services, and a volunteer's talents are closely matched with one of our many assignments.

Send a Greeting to a Veteran!
Would you like to send a greeting to a Veteran who is staying at the Tomah VA Medical Center? Simply contact the VA Voluntary Service at (608) 372-1727 / (800) 872-8662 ext. 61727 or send us email. Your message will be printed and given to a volunteer who will insert the message in a card and personally deliver it to the Veteran!
Donate
Cash donations are used for the comfort and welfare of our veteran patients, including —
- hygiene products
- refreshment supplies
- recreational activities
- newspaper subscriptions
- emergency travel
- holiday events
- hospice needs
- home-like atmosphere
Non-cash contributions are used to make our patients' stay more enjoyable. Items which are accepted include —
- coffee (regular and decaf)
- juices or drink mix (regular and sugar free)
- new or gently used clothing
- telephone cards
- toiletries
