This video walks through the step-by-step process of how to register for a Level 2 Premium eBenefits account. An eBenefits Premium account gives Servicemembers, Veterans, and their family members access to over 55 VA/DoD self-service features and allows them to apply for benefits online, check their VA claim status, download VA letters, generate a VA home loan Certificate of Eligibility (COE), and much more.
The Department of Defense (DoD) Self-Service Access Center (DS Access) provides a means for a sponsor (family member with an affiliation to the Department of Defense) to request a DoD Self-Service Logon (DS Logon) for their own use and for those family members who are eligible to receive one. An individual can also use this site to manage their own DoD Self-Service Logon. Veterans who regualrly interact with the VA should also be known to the DS Access system. Such Veterans can also apply for a DS Logon credential.
Visit https://www.ebenefits.va.gov for more information. An individual with an affiliation to DoD can logon to DoD Self-Service Access Center by using their Common Access Card, DFAS Pin, or DS Logon (if one has previously been created). Sponsors can only request DS Logon credentials if they log on with CAC or DFAS. Individuals can only maintain their own DS Logon information. Veterans with no affiliation to DoD (not retired or receiving treatment at a DoD facility) can apply for an assurance level 1 credential by following these instructions.
