DAISY and BEE Awards

Nominate a deserving nurse for one of these two awards.
Have you received a high level of exceptional care from one of the Tomah VA Medical Central nurses? If so, and you would like to share your experience with others, here are two methods of doing so.
The Tomah VA is providing Veterans, family members or other guests opportunities to recognize exceptional caregivers. The DAISY Award and The BEE Award are recognition programs thanking caregivers who demonstrate extraordinary compassion and kindness while caring for our Veterans. Nominations are displayed throughout the Tomah facility and Community Based Outreach Clinics. The DAISY (Diseases Attacking the Immune System) Foundation, was formed in 1999 by the family of Patrick Barnes following his death of complications of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP).
The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses distinguishes a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse who provides excellent clinical care as well as compassion and kindness.
The BEE Award was created to recognize exceptional caregivers in non-licensed nursing roles.
