Acute Psychiatric Services

The mission of Acute Psychiatric Services is to provide services to Veterans with emergent mental health needs, utilizing the core values of Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence (ICARE). 

The unit, recently renovated, uses a Veteran-centered, recovery-orientation to engage patients in their personal recovery. A multidisciplinary team encompassing psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, art and occupational therapists, and nurse practitioners, RNs, LPNs, and NAs, provide evidence-based treatment to any Veteran requiring inpatient treatment.

Acute Psychiatric Services operates under the procedures and policies of VHA, VISN, and the Medical Center, as well as, The Joint Commission, OIG and other regulatory agencies.
