Military Sexual Trauma Coordinator

Military Sexual Trauma (MST)

Military Sexual Trauma (MST) is sexual assault or repeated, threatening sexual harassment that occurred during a Veteran’s military service. MST can occur on or off-base, or while a Veteran was on or off-duty. Men and women from all eras of service have reported experiencing MST.

The Tomah VA provides the region's only residential treatment for Veterans who have medical or mental health symptoms related to their experience(s) of MST. The type of services provided will vary based upon each Veteran’s individual treatment needs.

If you have any questions regarding available MST-related health care at the Tomah VA Medical Center, please speak with your provider or contact the local MST Coordinator, Dr. Sarah Dahl, at (608) 372-3971 x61761.

Mental health services are confidential. We will not talk to anyone about information you share unless you give written consent. Under federal law, a few exceptions to this rule exist. If you have questions, please ask your mental health consultant.
