Military Sexual Trauma

Military Sexual Trauma (MST)

Military Sexual Trauma (MST) is sexual assault or repeated, threatening sexual harassment that occurred during a Veteran’s military service. MST can occur on or off-base, or while a Veteran was on or off-duty. Men and women from all eras of service have reported experiencing MST.

The Tomah VA provides the region's only residential treatment for Veterans who have medical or mental health symptoms related to their experience(s) of MST. The type of services provided will vary based upon each Veteran’s individual treatment needs.

If you have any questions regarding available MST-related health care at the Tomah VA Medical Center, please speak with your provider or contact the local MST Coordinator, Dr. Sarah Dahl, at (608) 372-3971 x66426.
